Pyrgos was a Venetian castle village which has a population of around 1000, and remains an all year round working village today.  It is built amphitheatrically on a hill (Profit Ilias mount) which offers magnificent views of Santorini in almost all directions. In years gone by, it used to serve as the administrative capital of the island. The main occupation of the locals is farming, winemaking and tourism.

Spiti Stelios is situation on the North side of the village, a peaceful and quiet locale, ‘away from it all’. The natural ‘meltemi’ breeze – typical of the Cyclades islands – keeps us cool in the hot summer days.  Meanwhile the property enjoys direct breathtaking views of the famous Santorini sunsets, from the 80 square meter sunbathing terrace.
